Sensorium Galaxy: A Metaverse Filled With Out-of-this-world Virtual Experiences
Sensorium Galaxy, a soon-to-be-launched digital metaverse featuring exclusive VR shows of world-famous David Guetta, Carl Cox, and Armin van Buuren, has announced that it will burn 4.2 billion of its native SENSO tokens. This amount accounts for approximately 70% of the actual minted supply. The token burn, which continues until the end of April, will allow adjusting the supply following the highly successful private token sale.
Sensorium Galaxy is an ambitious metaverse project that brings together music, dance, dating, VR, AI, and blockchain to redefine how people interact and experience arts.
The project boasts partnerships with major players as game publisher Epic Games, creative production studio HighScream, and entertainment company The Night League. Sensorium Galaxy leverages Unreal Engine 4 to develop AAA quality virtual environments. The renowned 3D artist Jason Ebeyer is in charge of designing some of the platform’s eye-catching avatars.
The first world in the metaverse, Prism, will center around music and live concerts in virtual reality. Sensorium Galaxy has signed agreements with a number of chart-topping DJs, including David Guetta. The work on Guetta’s avatar is underway, and the first concerts in Prism are scheduled for September. Armin van Buuren, Black Coffee, and Carl Cox are also among confirmed artists.
SENSO: The Blockchain-based Currency Of Sensorium Galaxy
SENSO is the native token of the Sensorium Galaxy metaverse. It is already available on a number of major cryptocurrency exchanges: KuCoin, Poloniex, Bittrex, Hotbit, HitBTC, and Bitcoin.com. Between February and April 2021, the token’s price surged by over 330%, from $0.23 to over $1.
SENSO is the primary means of payment in Sensorium Galaxy, though the platform will support bank cards as well. When paying with SENSO, users will receive a 20% discount on premium content and digital items, including:
– tickets to virtual concerts, dance shows, festivals, lessons, etc.;
– avatars and accessories for them (clothes and accommodation);
– exclusive merchandise;
– advanced AI-powered dating features, and much else.
SENSO token burn to become one of the largest on record
Out of the originally minted 5.9 billion SENSO, the platform will burn 4.2 billion, or 70% of the emission. This decision was taken after the closed token sale raised a much larger amount of funds than originally anticipated and more than enough to cover the current development needs.
The token burn will extend until the end of April and comes ahead of further important updates, which include new use cases for SENSO (such as NFTs and a DAO) and an upcoming migration to the Polkadot ecosystem. These updates will be described in detail in White Paper 2.0, to be published shortly.
It’s worth noting that the SENSO burn will become one of the largest in cryptocurrency history, following the burn of 50 billion XLM by Stellar in November 2019 (which was followed by a 25% price increase) and the burn of 70 billion CRO by Crypto.com in February 2021, which produced a 70% price rally.
A detailed announcement of the token burn is published on the official blog. For more information on Sensorium Galaxy and SENSO, visit the website.
